Configuration Management

Configuration Management (CM) is a growing issue for U.S. Military Services and other Federal agencies that maintain large capital assets. As funding constraints postpone system replacement, agencies are extending service lives through modifications, upgrades, and engineering change orders. The growth in such configuration changes places increasing pressure on existing CM processes and contributes to the proliferation of non-standard configurations, impacting safety, durability, and maintainability.

Celerant is working with the Army aviation community to improve CM transparency across multiple levels of maintenance, and to establish a more effective process for assessing the impact of configuration changes on life cycle performance.
