Implementing Lean Six Sigma

Many Federal agencies view Lean Six Sigma (LSS) as a promising tool for driving greater efficiency and results. However, too much of the LSS focus has been on training Black Belts and Green Belts, and most LSS projects that have been undertaken in the Federal Government have been too small or fragmented to achieve the hoped-for benefits. Agencies capture the full potential of LSS when they take on projects across an entire value stream, even when the value stream cuts across organizational lines.
