What are Cookies and how are they used?
Cookies enable websites to remember a visitor's browsing activity. This can include where a visitor has clicked on web pages as well as important information such as a user's log in name. On our site, your browsing activity (which is held in these Cookies) is subsequently sent back to our website by your browser so that this information can be used to deliver 'tailored' web pages to make your use of our site more personal.
There are different types of cookies:
Persistent Cookies will allow our site to recognise you when you return to our site another time. This provides us with useful analytics that help us to optimise our website in order to provide you with a better user experience.
Session Cookies exist just for the life of your current visit whilst you have your browser open. They are not stored on your hard disk and are erased when you exit your web browser. The session cookies we use also provide us with analytics information we use to optimise our website.
At Celerant Consulting we use the following cookies:
Persistent: _utma/b/z for Google Analytics, SC_ANALYTICS_GLOBAL_COOKIE for Sitecore analytics.
Session: ASP.NET_SessionId, _utmc for Google Analytics, SC_ANALYTICS_SESSION_COOKIE for Sitecore analytics.
Manually managing Cookies.
There are a number of ways you can manually manage Cookies on your computer/device. If you access the Internet from more than one computer/device it is important to ensure each browser is configured to suit your Cookie preferences. If you wish to block all Cookies all the time you can set your browser to do this. Refer to your browser's help information for how to do this.
It is important to note that blocking Cookies may result in some parts of our site not working properly. This may affect your browsing experience.
